San Mateo High School’s vocal program is designed to be engaging, challenging, and a place where students grow in musical excellence while joining a supportive community of singers. We offer two choirs for students in grades 9–12:
Concert Choir – Open to all students, no audition required.
Chamber Singers – Open to all students, audition required.
Both classes are full-year music electives that fulfill Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) graduation credit and receive “f” credit under the UC a–g admission requirements. Chamber Singers meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is designed for students who are already enrolled in a music class and want to perform at a higher artistic level with other motivated singers. Whether you join Concert Choir or audition for Chamber Singers, we hope you will participate in our fantastic vocal music program.
