Mr. Matthew Gallegos
Matthew Gallegos began teaching music in 2015. Mr. Gallegos studied Music at Whittier College and studied percussion under Victor Barrientos and Dr. Theresa Dimond, studied Jazz under Danilo Lozano and Dr. James Ford, studied composition under Dr. Theresa LeVelle, and studied Music Technology under Cesar Mejia. He earned his Master of Arts in Teaching from the Longy School of Music of Bard College and is currently obtaining his Doctor of Music Education from Liberty University. Mr. Gallegos has also had experience in WGI and DCI ensembles performing with Elan Percussion, Odyssey Percussion, Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps, and Vessel Indoor Percussion. He currently serves as a percussionist for the San Francisco Civic Symphony and the West Bay Community Band.
